The ancestor of all domestic apples is considered to be the Sivers apple tree, which grows in wild forests on the slopes of the Tien Shan near Almaty. Inspired by this symbol of Kazakhstan, we created apple-shaped pralines and filled them with Kazakh apple jam

The Almaty Foothills – the Homeland of Apples
Almaty, surrounded by the picturesque foothills of the Tian Shan Mountains, is not only the cultural and economic center of Kazakhstan but also the historical cradle of all modern apples. It is here, among the mountain slopes and valleys, that the unique Sievers apple tree (Malus sieversii) grows—the ancient ancestor of all known apple varieties in the world.
Scientists have proven that the DNA of the Almaty apple tree served as the foundation for the formation of all modern apple trees. Genetic research has shown that Sievers apples possess exceptional resistance to diseases and pests, along with a naturally rich flavor.
